Infernaalisen syysmyrskyn vihmoessa räntää ikkunoihin on oiva aika käpertyä viinipullon kanssa huovan sisälle katsomaan Corpse Bridea. Oon poistunut asunnostani vaan täydentämään kissanruokavarastoja sekä hyödyntämään irtokarkkitarjouksen. Ennen leffailtani virallista starttia aattelin kuitenkin tulla näyttämään, mitä sieltä Tallinnasta miun mukana kotiutuikaan!

With autumn storms raging over my hometown here's not much reasons for me to leave the house. I've only gone to get some food for the Terror Trio and candies for myself. Nights like this one are perfect for having some red wine and watching Corpse Bride! But before starting the movie I thought I'd show you the things I brought home from my trip to Tallinn.

Kamalasti karkkia, tietysti. Pieni osa minua kuoli saadessani huomata, että Draakoneita löytyy nykyään meiltäkin K-kauppojen hyllyiltä...
Shitload of candy, of course. A small part of me died when I noticed that Draakons are nowadays available also in Finland...

I also supported the local craftsmanship by buying these aborable wool socks. Just look at them! 

Tällaisia löytyi. Itse palloilin ympäri Tallinnaa hyvin kasuaaleissa kuteissa. Arvostan reissaillessa enemmän mukavuutta kuin pynttäytymistä (tää ei tarkota sitä, että lähtisin matkaan ihan minkä näköisenä tahansa). Olisin ottanut enemmän kuvia paikan päältä, jos olisin muistanut! Olin niin fiiliksissä, ettei kamera aina löytänyt tietään käsiini.

That's all I found. My outfits in Tallin were very casual. When traveling, I like to wear comfortable clothes. I would have taken more pictures if I had remembered!

A true blogger doesn't care about the strange looks she gets from other hotel guests while taking a picture of her breakfast. Somehow, even abroad, I manage to eat mostly carelian pies...

ALICE COOPER @Nokia Kontserdimaja, Tallinn 9.10.2013

Otsikosta voi päätellä, missä vietin keskiviikkoni. En vieläkään ymmärrä, että oon nähny Alicen livenä. Se heilu parin metrin päässä miusta! Miulla ei oo oikeutta olla nii lähellä nii upeaa ihmistä!
Äiti oli käynyt talvella Simon kanssa katsomassa Suomi-Slovakia -ottelua (minuu ei vois jääkiekko vähempää kiinnostaa), ja oltiin mietitty, että mentäisiin joskus vastaavasti äidin kanssa vaikkapa Tallinnaan. Satuttiin kerran kattelemaan Matkapoikien sivuilta Tallinnan-risteilyjä, kun huomasin, että mainosbannerissa oli Alice Cooperin kuva. Ylipuhuinkiljuin äidin varaamaan matkat ja nyt on Allu nähty. Onneksi, voisin sanoa, sillä vaikka Alice onkin ikuinen, niin miulla oli pieni pelko siitä, etten ehtisi herraa nähdä elävänä. (Hauska sanoa "elävänä", kun lavashowtkin perustuvat siihen, että ukko otetaan vähintään pari kertaa hengiltä...)

The headline probably tells more than enough about my Wednesday. I haven't yet fully realised that I've now seen Alice. He was right there, a few feet away from me! I have no right to stand that close to someone as awesome as him!
Anyway, me and my mom were one day looking for cruises to Tallinn (she and my brother had been to Finland-Slovakia ice hockey game and she wanted to arrange something fun to me as well, since I don't care about ice hockey). There was an advert about Alices' gig in Nokia Kontserdimaja, and I overtalkedshrieked mom to get the tickets. Now I've seen Alice Cooper. I was kind of afraid (even though Alice is eternal) that I wouldn't be able to see him before he dies. Funny to say that about someone whose entire shows are based on him dying at least couple of times...

Settilista näytti tältä. Kiertueen nimi 'Raise the Dead' tulee noista loppuosan coverbiiseistä, joiden alkuperäiset esittäjät ovat jo kuolleet. Aliceen perehtymätön äitikin pääsi vähän jammailemaan noiden aikana! Henkilökohtasesti voin nyt kuolla onnellisena, koska listalta löytyi He's Back (The Man Behind The Mask). Nyt kuvat puhukoot puolestaan.

The setlist looked like that. The name of the tour 'Raise the Dead' comes from the covers at the end of the list as they performed songs from musicians already deceased. This was the part where also mom could sing along! Personally I can now die happily, since they played  He's Back (The Man Behind The Mask). Now I'll let the pictures talk.

Koko bändi veti tajuttoman hyvän keikan ja monta miun omaa lempparibiisiä. En vois olla tyytyväisempi. Keikalta jäi käteen täyden muistikortin lisäksi kiertuepaita, School's Out -silppua (joka sopi nii hyvin miun asunnon väreihin, että pakkohan sitä oli raahata vähän kotiinkin), plektra ja Alice-seteli. Oon siis nykyään Billion Dollar Baby!

The whole band played insanely good and there were many of my favourite songs. I couldn't be happier. I snatched some souvenirs from the gig: a tour t-shirt, School's Out -strings (their colours fit to those of my house, so I just had to drag some of that chaff back home), a guitar pick and an Alice dollar. I'm a Billion Dollar Baby now!
